Use this filter as part of a dual setup when calcium is a concern. Calcium can cause clogging of nozzles, which can cause excessive fog nozzle maintenance in outdoor misting systems. Use this filter insert to minimize these problems. Many users in livestock cooling and dairy cooling applications, as well as in greenhouse humidification, use the calcium control insert as one part of a 4 stage filtering setup. Calcium Filter first, then phosphate filter for dissolved solids and particles, then a 25 micron filter, finishing off with a 1 micron filter cartridge to grab the very smallest particles. It is used and maintained religiously in these applications to avoid clogging and maintenance in the hundreds of nozzles they normally run. |
